Add in hot water and thermal energy accounts for over 60% of your home\u2019s energy. You could have a contractor do these tasks also.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Install and use a programable thermostat \u2013 lower your heating settings<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Change out bulbs to LEDs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hire an HVAC contractor to tune up your heating system<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lower hot water use.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Change your ceiling fan to go clockwise that help push down the heat \u2013 hot air rises.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Install your hot water heater.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Get an Energy Star cable box to lower your energy use.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Higher cost EE measure<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Contact your utility provider to see what cost savings programs are available.
