Green Drinks discussion was a Success

Sustainable Lawrence had a wonderful turnout for their most recent Green Drinks, an informal presentation and networking event on May 4 at 7 p.m. in the winery barn at Terhune Orchards. Over 30 participants attended the free event.

Mike Winka from the NJ State Energy Office presented a program, What You Can Do To Reduce Your Carbon Footprint” and a discussion afterwards. Winka was optimistic about the end of coal and the positive prospects about renewable energy now and in the future. He covered how to decide what kind of energy is best for your home, how to calculate and reduce your carbon footprint.

Fun was had by all. Wine and refreshments were served by Terhune Orchards.

Green Drinks is an occasional series held by Sustainable Lawrence and the Lawrence Green Team to foster conversation and community about sustainability issues.
