A GREEN GATHERING
Members of the Mercer County Sustainability Coalition (MCSC) hosted a Green Gathering Wednesday night, January 24th, with dozens of green team participants from around the region, local officials and sustainability-minded organizations coming together to discuss 2024 goals and ideas for collaboration.
Trenton 365 was on the scene, podcasting live, with newly elected Mercer County Executive Dan Benson talking upcoming plans for the next few years. From a strong transportation and administrative background, Benson sees the potential for big county advances in electric vehicle infrastructure, solar and other energy-savings for homes and businesses, public transit, rain gardens, waste management, open space planning – even industrial hemp!
